2012 Year of the Dragon

© Belinda Ross 2012

Chinese New Year is a little earlier than usual, it starts on 24th January, and this year we celebrate the Year of the Dragon. Many Chinese Restaurants will begin celebrating the weekend before, so don’t miss out, book early. The year of the Dragon always promises to be a grand affair with loads of adventure, excitement and loyalty.
Here’s a few things you can do to ensure all that is good comes to you in 2012.
1.       Place a 6 Hollow Rod Metal Wind chime in the South East (outside the house)
2.       Place 6 Chinese coins tied with red ribbon in the North (inside the house)
3.       Buy a bag of citrus and on New Years Eve roll the fruit (symbolic of Money) into the dwelling or your place of business. The further in they roll the more money comes in and stays longer. Leave them there overnight then collect them and place them in a beautiful bowl inside the front door on a table for the first 5 days of Chinese New Year.
4.       Fill a jar with your staple food ie. rice, pasta, wheat. Ensure you place a coin in a red envelope in the bottom of the jar.
5.       Put 3 Chinese coins tied with red ribbon in your purse or wallet. These will ensure it is never empty. If you already have this, then replace the ribbon.
6.       You can also tie another 3 coins together and place them face up (4 symbol side) under your door mat, if you have one. This means you walk the money into your place every time someone enters.
7.       If you are a Chinese Dog, then during this year of the Dragon you wear a protective talisman representing a Rooster.
I wish you peace, joy, happiness and contentment during this Chinese Year of the Dragon, 2012. May you enjoy excellent health, wealth and happiness.

Perfect World - Rose Coloured Glasses

Last night we went to bed knowing that the Americans found and assassinated Osama bin Laden, the leader, who instigated the world trade centre events in 2001.
This morning we woke up to a jubilant American nation, and a world on the brink of retaliation the likes of which may never have been witnessed before. My gut tells me that all this is far from over, with their leader dead, his followers grow strength from their grieving of and belief in a man that was a very frightening extremist. We can only hope and pray that whatever happens now happens with love and foresight, not hate and conjecture. We can only hope that those in power now stop this hideous fight for freedom, and seek more peaceful means of achieving peace in a loving world.
Many people have known grief at this mans’ hands if not by his own doing then by that of his followers. May they now find peace and love for the life they have, for the loved ones they lost are now at peace, may they no longer fill the world with loathing, hatred, bitterness, but allow it to transform into understanding, compassion, and love for all the peoples, everywhere on this planet.
I sit and write this freely, a free person in a free country, knowing others do not and cannot have this voice at this time. I hope with all my heart the time will come when freedom of speech is not just words on a page, but a phrase with meaning, true meaning, one with solidarity, trust, honour, belief in the good of mankind, the fairness of industry, the beauty of nature and the backing of science both political and worldly.
My wish for our world is to find in it a place of natural beauty, of lovely people, of honourable industry, where people in all regions think clearly of all consequences before taking on acts of violence to solve issues, where people think with their hearts more and their heads less, certainly when dealing with other people; where people think of the effects of what they are doing, or about to do will have on mother nature our planet the place we live; where people stop killing because there is a buck in it; where people have integrity, trust in themselves and others; where people have faith in something greater than what we are, who we are; where people treat people kindly, with respect, patience, where people are less judgmental and more fair minded; where people live and let live.
I wonder if such a place will ever exist?
I wonder if it can, if only in our minds and only for a while?
If we can do it for a while then why not forever?
Would it create a perfect world, probably not, but it sure would be nice to try it for a while.

CRYSTAL HEALING FOR THE PLANET

Hi Everyone

I have never written a note quite like this however, my heart is telling me quite strongly not to sit back and wait.

As with every new year that comes around I ponder what happened before and glean insights into what may happen in the future. Sadly, as I did this, this year, the visions that came to me were somewhat traumatic. I thought I would keep them to myself at the time, but the time has come for me to share some of what I saw coming and what you have learned to do about it all with the crystals, reiki, energy skills that you have acquired over the past years.

My vision for this year contained a very tumultuous year of chaotic weather patterns, not only in the south pacific region but also through asia and the continent. I also saw the passing of some very significant people who have touched the people of the world with grace, dignity and selflessness.

I note the recent news of the Egyptians uprising over a tyranical regime, I see their neighbours in Lybia now doing the same thing. There will be more bloodshed, but in the end, good always wins. People in some nations of the world have lived downtrodden, frightened lives as a result of leaders who have been self promoting and selfish in the extreme, stealing from their very own peoples. Well it seems the peoples of these nations have had enough, they are now strong, and ready to fight for the freedom we take for granted. We may not like our government, but they do not shoot us and we have the freedom to vote them out at the next election. Other nations have not had this democratic right, but they are now ready to fight the good fight. I do not condone fighting, and the bloodshed that must come as a result, but in these regions it seems all that is possible. It will get worse before it gets better, but it will most certainly get better.

Yesterday, after the natural disaster, the act of God, the tragedy of the earthquake in Christchurch I created a crystal mandala around the globe I usually keep in my office.

I know some of you have training in crystal healing, and other healing methods and now is the time to use them, not only to preserve your own energies, but to stabilise the energies of our planet.

Use rose quartz - love, amethyst & lepidolite - electromagnetic field protection and balancing, elestial - ancient wisdom, charoite - brotherhood of man, sugulite - speaking the truth, there are so many that will help. Use your intuition and make a mandala on your alter or significant place in your home, place each stone, and crystal with intent.

Tomorrow, Thursday 24th I will be creating a Mandala at my home, then creating a vortex over this space. I welcome you to join me from 6.30pm till about 9.30pm please bring, a musical instrument, a crystal you are willing to leave in place until all our NZ neighbours are accounted for and peace falls over our lands, a blanket or chair to sit on. Lets remember what its like to be part of a greater community. Lets do this together.

I look forward to seeing you tomorrow with love...

msg me and i will forward the address to you.

2011 Chinese Year of the Rabbit

Colour Transformations - Belinda Ross © 2011
We are heading into Chinese Year of the Rabbit, which means the Rabbit is the Grand Emperor for the next 12 months. The Rabbit is a Wood Animal. 2011 is a Metal Year. Metal weakens Wood, so this is not a particularly auspicious year.  It is a much better year when the year element supports the animal. However, if you are a Dragon, Tiger with Wood as the element this will be a particularly good year for you.
The Rabbit sits in the East 90 degrees on the compass. It is inauspicious to renovate in this sector of your home or building.
It is inappropriate to sit facing the Rabbit, so for Rooster people this year things will be especially difficult. It would be prudent for people born in the year of the Rooster (whose compass direction is directly opposite the rabbit) wear a talisman representing a dog. This will help to ward off any bad luck that may arise.
Remember what goes around comes around. Do good to/for others and good things will happen for you.

It gets quite confusing with what is auspicious/inauspicious, compatible or conflicting. So here are a few simple things you can do to ensure that good comes to you in 2011.
1.       Place a 6 Hollow Rod Metal Wind chime in the East (outside the house)
2.       Place 6 Chinese coins tied with red ribbon in the South (inside the house)
These are cures for the flying stars of the Lawsuits and Illness, and move every year.
3.       Buy a bag of citrus and roll the fruit (symbolic of Money) into the dwelling or your place of business. The further in they roll the more money comes in and stays longer. Leave them there overnight then collect them and place them in a beautiful bowl inside the front door on a table for the first 5 days of Chinese New Year. This celebration lasts a week or longer in some regions.
4.       Fill a jar with your staple food ie. rice, pasta, wheat. Ensure you place a coin in a red envelope in the bottom of the jar.
These help to bring abundance into your home – citrus = money and rice = food. To the Chinese this is the most important abundance because it means you can feed many family members which = longevity.
5.       Put 3 Chinese coins tied with red ribbon in your purse or wallet. These will ensure it is never empty. If you already have this, then replace the ribbon.
6.       You can also tie another 3 coins together and place them face up under your door mat, if you have one. This means you walk the money into your place every time someone enters.
Face up with Chinese coins is the side with 4 symbols, you will find the other side only has 2.
The energy or Chi in your home or workplace flows, and will either feel right or not. Generally speaking, if you are experiencing difficulty in any area of your life then the Chi flow is not good and can be remedied.

QUEENSLAND FLOODS DONATION CENTRE - now closed - thanks to all who helped out.

I have watched the flood situation unfold in Queensland, and have been completely powerless until now. I am not sure of your personal situation, but I do hope you are safe.

I, in conjunction with the President of the Northlakes Rotary Club have set up a collection and distribution point for people to drop off clothes, towels, bedding, toys, furniture, non perishable foodstuffs, and personal sanitary items (bathroom stuff) as well as baby formula etc.

A lot of people at this time of year do a bit of de-cluttering, and this year there is even more reason to do this and to help our neighbours, fellow Queenslanders in their darkest hour.

I have secured an Industrial Shed at Unit 2, 11-15 Baylink Ave, Deception Bay (take Boundary road exit of highway), Bright green building. This building will be manned between 9-5 from Friday 14th January to take your donations. I anticipate being open there for at least 2 weeks and we have full use of the shed for a month if needed.

PLEASE MAKE SURE DONATIONS ARE CLEAN DRY AND USEABLE ITEMS.
PLEASE BAG AND TAG SHEET SETS BEFORE YOU BRING THEM IN
THAT WILL BE A HUGE HELP AND SAVE US LOTS OF TIME.
DO NOT SEAL BAGS – WE STILL HAVE TO BOX ITEMS TO SEND THEM OUT.

I thank you in advance for your assistance and help for our mates, neighbours, colleagues, friends and family.

Take care and be safe.

The Shed will be open from 9am Friday 14th January 2011

PLEASE DO NOT DUMP ITEMS OUTSIDE THE SHED – THIS WILL NOT HELP ANYONE.

We are often disappointed with others, because we place expectations upon them, often and sadly they don't even know we've done this!

Expectations

I expect you to be the best you, that you can possibly be…
I expect you to love and cherish yourself…
I expect you to take care of your health, wealth and happiness…
I expect you to work through life’s difficulties as they arise, then let them go…
I expect you to unconditionally love yourself…
I expect you to take responsibility for your thoughts, feelings and actions…
I expect you to take some quiet time each day – just for you…
I expect you to keep in touch with the people that you care about…
I expect you to do the things that make your heart sing, regularly...

I expect all of these things for me too…
