Chinese New Year is a little earlier than usual, it starts on 24th January, and this year we celebrate the Year of the Dragon. Many Chinese Restaurants will begin celebrating the weekend before, so don’t miss out, book early. The year of the Dragon always promises to be a grand affair with loads of adventure, excitement and loyalty.
Here’s a few things you can do to ensure all that is good comes to you in 2012.
1. Place a 6 Hollow Rod Metal Wind chime in the South East (outside the house)
2. Place 6 Chinese coins tied with red ribbon in the North (inside the house)
3. Buy a bag of citrus and on New Years Eve roll the fruit (symbolic of Money) into the dwelling or your place of business. The further in they roll the more money comes in and stays longer. Leave them there overnight then collect them and place them in a beautiful bowl inside the front door on a table for the first 5 days of Chinese New Year.
4. Fill a jar with your staple food ie. rice, pasta, wheat. Ensure you place a coin in a red envelope in the bottom of the jar.
5. Put 3 Chinese coins tied with red ribbon in your purse or wallet. These will ensure it is never empty. If you already have this, then replace the ribbon.
6. You can also tie another 3 coins together and place them face up (4 symbol side) under your door mat, if you have one. This means you walk the money into your place every time someone enters.
7. If you are a Chinese Dog, then during this year of the Dragon you wear a protective talisman representing a Rooster.
I wish you peace, joy, happiness and contentment during this Chinese Year of the Dragon, 2012. May you enjoy excellent health, wealth and happiness.
